St Maarten’s tourism sector has had a very strong 2014, according to new data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
Through the third quarter of 2014, the country welcomed 377,341 stayover visitors, a 7.3 percent improvement over the same period in 2013.
That number was buoyed by a 7.9 percent improvement in the 2014 winter tourist season, according to the CTO.
St Maarten saw particularly strong growth from the Canadian market, with a 14.2 percent improvement in the first nine months of 2014.
The US also showed growth, with a 9 percent improvement in tourism from America.
