The Radisson brand is expanding in Colombia.

Parent company Carlton Rezidor Hotel Group announced that the brand would be opening its newest South American property in Bogota next month.

The Radisson Hotel Bogota Airport will be located what was the Ar Hotel Bogota, a few minutes from Bogota El Dorado International Airport in the El Salitre business district.

“As a leading hotel brand in South America, this signing reinforces our commitment to further expand our presence in the region,” said Javier Rosenberg, chief operating officer at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Americas. “We are excited to partner with AR Hotels to expand the Radisson brand in this key airport location.”

The hotel will include an onsite spa and a restaurant and bar called Kai. The company said it would begin accepting reservations for Oct. 20 and beyond, according to its Web site.

“We chose Radisson as the brand for this hotel because we trust that its global recognition and positioning will help us internationalize our products and services,” said Carlos Agudelo Restrepo, Grupo AR. “We are confident that the alliance between AR Hoteles and Radisson will prove successful.”
