Rum Journal: Voodoo Juice From St Thomas’ Bolongo Bay Resort

The folks at St Thomas’ Bolongo Bay tell us that this potent punch is best enjoyed at Iggies Beach bar, the popular drinkery at the USVI all-inclusive resort.

But since it includes (count ‘em) five varieties of Cruzan rum served in a bucket, we’re thinking it’d be best (and more safely) imbibed while in a horizontal position, perhaps face up in a hammock on Bolongo’s beach?

Whether you chug it standing or supine, take our advice and make sure you have a soft place to land. Because this punch really packs one.

Voodoo Juice

Ingredients

1 ounce Cruzan pineapple rum

1 ounce Cruzan banana rum

1 ounce Cruzan coconut rum

1 ounce Cruzan citrus rum

½ ounce Cruzan dark rum

3 ounces cranberry juice

3 ounces pineapple juice

Method:

Fill a large glass (or bucket) with ice and pour in the pineapple, banana, coconut and citrus rums. Then add the fruit juices, and finish with a floater of dark rum. Raise glass (or bucket) and toast.
