The Dominican Republic will play host to the fourth annual Caribbean Hospitality Investment Conference and Operations Summit (CHICOS) in November.

The summit will take place from Nov. 13 to Nov. 14 at the Punta Cana resort for the second consecutive year, bringing together delegates from more than 600 Caribbean hotels, the Caribbean Tourism Organization and global hospitality consulting firm HVS.

“With HVS’s strength in appealing to the leading investors, developers and brands in the Caribbean and with CHTA and CTO’s ability to gather the region’s governmental and private sector leadership, our partnership for CHICOS is truly the perfect marriage,” said Parris Jordan, managing director of HVS in the Caribbean. “CHICOS has become renowned for pulling together the key industry investors, operators and movers and shakers in the region, and thus has established itself as the official and leading hospitality and tourism investment conference for the Caribbean.”

The conference, which first launched in 2011, saw more than 300 leading executives from hotel and real estate groups in the wider Caribbean region last year.

This year’s CHICOS will focus on international investment in the Caribbean.

“We are delighted that CHICOS has become the ‘must-attend’ event for everyone in the hospitality industry as well as the investment and development communities,” said Jeffrey Vasser, director general and CEO of the Caribbean hotel and Tourism Association.
