Accor has named Dominique Colliat the company’s new executive vice president for hotel services for North & Central America and the Caribbean, it announced Wednesday.

Colliat, a 27-year veteran of the company, will be responsible for “targeted business and development strategies to increase profitability and expand hotel share throughout the region,” according to a release.

Accor’s hotels in the region include the MGallery Brand, among others.

“I congratulate Dominique on her promotion to Executive Vice President and wish her a bright future,” said Sebastien Bazin, chairman and CEO of Accor. “With more than a quarter-century of success at implementing strategic business development and operations initiatives at Accor, she is beyond qualified to fashion business development strategies throughout North and Central America and the Caribbean, as well as to boost our profitability and hotel share throughout the region.”

Colliat has previous experience within the Caribbean region, including director for the Bahamas and the Caribbean for Club Med, and began her first of two stints at Accor managing hotels in the Caribbean, France and Great Britain.

When she returned to the company in 2006, she developed strategies to reposition the Sofitel brand in France and Southern Europe in the Maghreb.

She is based in New York City.
