St Lucia Planning to Establish Network of “Business Ambassadors”

St Lucia is planning to establish a network of “Business Ambassadors” to promote investment in the country, the government said.
The plan, revealed by Prime Minister Dr Kenny Anthony, would “help the government of St Lucia identify sources of investment and promote St Lucia as an ideal location for investment,” according to a statement.
The government said the initiative was modeled on the United Kingdom Department of Trade and Investment Business Ambassadors Group. It was a recommendation of the country’s Foreign Policy Review Committee.
The network will involve the appointment of “strategically selected Honorary Consuls and distinguished Saint Lucians both at home and abroad, to work with various missions and embassies,” the government said.
