The Viceroy Riviera Maya resort has named Brianda Aldape as the property’s new spa manager, it announced on Monday.

Aldape will oversee the resort’s Wayak Spa. She had previously served as the spa coordinator at the Wayak Spa since October 2012.

The 10-year veteran of the hospitality industry has also worked at spas including the Ritz-Carlton Cancun, the Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Mayakoba and the Sense Spa at the Rosewood Mayakoba.

The full-service Wayak Spa, which is located at the centre of the Viceroy Riviera Maya, focuses on marine and herbal treatments.

The 41-villa Viceroy Riviera Maya is located on the Playa del Carmen on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.
