Puerto Rico’s El Conquistador Names New Spa Director

El Conquistador, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Puerto Rico has named Andrea Magalhaes the property’s new Spa Director.

Magalhaes will oversee all aspects of the 26,000-square-foot spa.

The 16-year veteran of the industry was most recently the regional director of Spa & Salon Operations of Caesar’s Qua Baths & Spa and Bally’s Salon and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Before that, she was the director of spa operations at the Avanti Day Resort in Manalapan, New Jersey.

“I am thrilled to be working with this iconic property in one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful islands,” Magalhaes said in a statement. “I look forward to learning more about the culture and will ensure that our spa continues to offer result-oriented treatments that combine the best ingredients with leading-edge technologies and healing practices.”

The three-story spa at the resort includes two double rooms, 15 dry rooms, five wet rooms, five facial rooms and an Edouard de Paris salon.
