Riu Palace Opens in Jamaica

The Riu Palace Jamaica resort officially opens Friday, the company announced.

The 238-room hotel, which is Riu’s fifth property in Jamaica, will be an “adults only” resort.

The total investment in the project reached around $43 million, according to a company release.

The resort includes five restaurants: Montego Bay, L’Acquedotto, Zen, Seaside and Krystal. It also has three bars, two swimming pools and a conference room.

The property will also feature access to the neighbouring Riu Montego Bay.

Riu opened its first resort in Jamaica in 2001 with the “ClubHotel Riu Negril.” Overall, the company has 2,611 rooms in the country.
