Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina has inaugurated the first phase of the new Riviera Azul project in Puerto Plata’s Playa Dorada area on Wednesday.

The project was built with an investment of $30 million. The first phase includes two three-story buildings containing a total of 75 apartments.

“The town of Puerto Plata offers us its colonial style, its culture, its art, which together with the hospitality of its people makes this place the ideal place to vacation,” said Marcos Villanueva, the CEO of the project.

The overall project will consist of three stages, comprising 180 apartments and a total investment of $100 million.

The site will include 44,000 square metres of land, 350 square metres of beach and parks, pools and sporting facilities.
