St Lucia PM on Visit to Cuba

St Lucia Prime MInister Dr Kenny Anthony arrived in Havana on Monday for an official visit to Cuba.

In a statement, Anthony said St Lucia had “collaborated very closely” in regional initiatives like the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.

Cuba has provided training for young St Lucians in fields like medicine and engineering, as it has for a number of other regional countries.

“Each time I visit Cuba, I feel I’m coming to a second home, a second family,” he said. “In the case of this nation, it is a very special family.”

Anthony will return to St Lucia on Saturday.
