British Virgin Islands Signs Tax Information Agreement With Canada

The British Virgin Islands has signed a tax information exchange agreement with Canada.

The agreement means the BVI has signed a total of 24 tax information exchange agreements.

BVI Premier Dr Orlando Smith signed the agreement with High Commissioner for Canada Gordon Campbell at the House of Lords in London.

The British Virgin Islands signed its first tax information exchange agreement with the United States in 2002.

Earlier this month, the BVI, along with Turks and Caicos, Anguilla and Montserrat, agreed on the automatic sharing of tax information with the UK and the G5 countries.
