Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla met Tuesday with Zambian Foreign Minister Efforn Chakupa Lungu in Havana.
The two sides reportedly expressed a willingness to strengthen the countries’ diplomatic ties, which were first established in 1972.
Zambia plans to establish a diplomatic mission in Havana, according to Chakupa, who said
Cuba, which is currently chairing the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, said it would promote the agenda of the African Union.
Chakupa’s official visit to Cuba began on Monday.
The talks come following a visit to Cuba by Zambia’s Sports Minister, Chishimba Kambwili, last month.
