Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz followed up their 1-1 draw with Panama with a 2-0 loss to Costa Rica on Tuesday evening in a FIFA World Cup qualifying match at the Estadio Nacional in San Jose.

Costa Rica’s Michael Umana put one home past Jamaica’s Donovan Ricketts from close range for what proved to be the winner in the 22nd minute. Costa Rica cemented its lead with a goal by Diego Calvo in the 82nd minute.

The Reggae Boyz have yet to win in this round of World Cup Qualifying, with two points. Their group includes Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, the United States and Mexico.

The latter two played a qualifying match in Mexico City Tuesday night.

Jamaica’s Jermaine Taylor and Jermaine Johnson received yellow cards on Tuesday, as did Costa Rica’s Ariel Rodriguez.

Enrico Wijngaarde was the referee.
