The Turks and Caicos Islands will be raising its accommodations tax from 11 percent to 12 percent in July, according to a Cabinet statement from Governor Ric Todd.
Todd will soon sign into effect regulations increasing the tax, which will officially take effect beginning July 1.
The Cabinet also announced that draft legislation allowing for increases in stamp duty would also be laid before the House of Assembly at its next sitting.
If approved, regulations implementing the increases would also give them effect beginning July 1.
