Cuba’s Ambassador to the Bahamas, Ernesto Soberon Guzman, made his first official visit to Grand Bahama on Monday.

The trip included talks with Minister for Grand Bahama Michael Darville, discussing health care, education, agriculture, trade and cultural exchanges.

The two were joined by Cecil Thompson, undersecretary at the Ministry for Grand Bahama and Melvin Seymour, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry.

Guzman, who succeeded former Ambassador Jose Ponce Caraballo, presented his letters of credence in December 2011.
