The next wave of Canadian tourists has arrived in Haiti as part of an agreement between Canada’s Transat and the Ministry of Tourism.

The group of travelers touched down at Port-au-Prince’s Toussaint Louverture International Airport on Wednesday.

The tourists will be following the same course as last month’s group, with stops at Haiti’s MUPANAH museum, the Rhum Barbancourt Distillery and other Port-au-Prince attractions, until visiting the Cote des Arcadins for a seaside holiday.

That portion of the week-long trip will feature visits to natural sites including the Saut d’Eau waterfall and the islets of Arcadins.

The tour package with Transat is the result of an agreement announced in December and signed at the beginning of January with the Ministry of Tourism.

For more information on how the Transat deal came about, read Caribbean Journal’s interview from last week with Tourism Minister Stephanie Villedrouin.
