The Eden Roc at Cap Cana resort in the Dominican Republic will mark its grand opening on Dec. 15, the property announced.

The Solaya Hotels & Resorts property includes 34 suites, along with six dining venues created by Executive Chef Gianluca Re Fraschini.

“As our anchor property, the opening of Eden Roc at Cap Cana is a significant event for Solaya Hotels & Resorts,” said Paolo Sanavia, CEO of Solaya Hotels & Resorts in a release. “We opened earlier this year with just 12 suites and have received a tremendous response from both the local and international community already.

Eden Roc at Cap Cana was designed by Milan-based Marina Nova in collaboration with Dominican architect Franc Ortega, modeled on a “luxe village” concept. It’s intended to celebrate the aesthetics of the 1960s French and Italian Rivieras.

Each suite will feature Bose audio systems and iPads to control the lighting, sound system, air conditioning and minibar, along with providing access to the front desk staff.

Also featured are the Solaya Spa, the Koko Kid’s Club and a 753 square feet of meeting and event space. Guests can golf at the Punta Espada course.

“We look forward to 2013 and further expanding the brand throughout the Caribbean,” Sanavia said.
