ST KITTS — Regional stakeholders are gathering in St Kitts this week to examine the current state of Caribbean tourism.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization is hosting the two-day event, the “State of the Industry Conference,” at the Marriott St Kitts Resort in Basseterre.

Tourism ministers, delegates and from across CARICOM, the wider Caribbean region and the world are in attendance.

Among the topics to be examined include regional tourism competitiveness, the challenges of airlift in the Caribbean and the role of national tourist offices, among others.

US Virgin Islands Delegate to Congress Donna Christensen is the conference’s keynote speaker.

Caribbean Journal will be providing in-depth coverage and updates from the conference.
