Haiti’s government has removed two Secretaries of State from office, President Michel Martelly’s office announced in a statement.
The two Secretaries of State are Mathias Laureus, Secretary of State for Trade, and Jean Gerald Brutus, Secretary of State for Industry.
The moves come about six weeks after a high-profile cabinet shakeup by Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe that changed the holders of six different government ministries.
Haiti’s government did not announce a reason for the removal of the two Secretaries of State.
