The Super Bowl Champion New York Giants took on the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday night, with a number of players with Caribbean heritage represented.

Leading the Caribbean charge was Giants Defensive End Jason Pierre-Paul, both of whose parents were born in Haiti.

Giants Defensive Tackle Linval Joseph was born in St Croix in the United States Virgin Islands — in January, he became the first-ever Virgin Islander to win a Super Bowl ring.

Star Giant receiver Victor Cruz is of Puerto Rican descent, while defensive back Antrel Rolle comes from a strong tradition of professional Rolles, who originally hail from the Bahamas.

And Offensive Lineman Kevin Boothe is also of Jamaican heritage — both of his parents were born in Jamaica’s Clarendon area.

But the NFL has a wide array of Caribbean talent across the country — from star Denver Broncos Defensive End Elvis Dumervil, a Haitian-American, to the Patriots’ Patrick Chung, the son of noted Jamaican reggae artist Sophie George-Chung. New York Jets Offensive Lineman Vladimir Ducasse is among several players born in Haiti.
