Fresh off their world record-breaking performance in the Men’s 100m relay in London, Jamaica’s Nesta Carter and Michael Frater finished second third in the men’s individual 100m in Stockholm.

The DN Galan Diamond League meet in Stockholm featured a number of Caribbean athletes, including Trinidad’s Jarrin Solomon and Haiti’s Samyr Laine.

Carter and Frater were topped only by the United States’ Ryan Bailey, who finished 9.93. Carter ran the 100m in 10.06, with Frater taking third in 10.12.

Trinidad’s Solomon finished the men’s 400-metre race in 46.18, good for second.

Kingston native Sanya Richards-Ross came first in the women’s 400m, with a time of 49.89. She took home gold in the 400m in London for the United States.

Haiti’s Samyr Laine, fresh off competition at the Olympics in London, finished sixth in the Men’s triple jump with a showing of 16.68.

The upcoming Athletissima meet in Lausanne on Friday will feature 19 Olympians, including Jamaica’s Uain Bolt and Yohan Balke and Grenadian 400m gold medalist Kirani James, among others.
