Jamaica’s Hansle Parchment Takes Bronze Medal in 110M Hurdles

Jamaica is continuing its medal haul on the track in London, with Hansle Parchment the latest to bring one home.
Parchment won the bronze medal in the Men’s 110M hurdles on Wednesday, finishing just behind Americans Aries Merritt and Jason Richardson.
He finished with a time of 13.12 seconds. He finished with a time of 13.12 seconds. The 22-year-old is a native of St Thomas.
It was the sixth medal of the Games for Jamaica, which is still eyeing more, and the second of the day following Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce’s silver in the women’s 200m.
There was a strong Caribbean contingent in the event; Barbados’ Ryan Brathwaite finished fifth in 13.40 seconds, while Cuba’s Orlando Ortega finished sixth.
Another Cuban, Dayron Robles, was disqualified.
