Haiti’s national soccer team is making a trip to Hanover, New Hampshire Friday to compete against Dartmouth College’s men’s soccer team for the second year in a row.

All proceeds from the event at Burnham Field in Hanover will benefit relief efforts by health organization Partners in Health in Haiti.

“We are very excited to be hosting these international exhibition matches at Dartmouth this spring,” Dartmouth head coach Jeff Cook said in a statement. “This is a wonderful opportunity to bring renewed focus on the challenges that remain in Haiti and how organizations like Partners in Health rely on continued commitment from their supporters.”

Haiti’s national squad will spend five days in New England, with a match on Sunday against Harvard’s team at Harvard Stadium in Cambridge, Mass.

That contest will also benefit Partners in Health’s Haiti relief work.

In last year’s Haiti-Dartmouth match, Haiti emerged victorious by the score of 2-1.

“Dartmouth men’s soccer is honored to be involved in an event that will use the power of sport to assist in these efforts,” Cook said.
