Jamaica is looking to become a Caribbean logistics hub, according to Investment Minister Anthony Hylton.

“There is tremendous benefit in Jamaica moving as quickly as possible to seize the opportunity to develop its capability as a local logistics centre and as a whole, a major logistics hub,” Hylton said, following a tour of rum company J Wray and Nephew’s manufacturing and bottling facilities in Kingston.

Hylton was joined on the visit by Sharon Ffolkes Abrahams, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry on the tour, which was led by Paul Henriques, general manager of the production and agriculture division.

According to the Minister, the government is putting together a strategy that will soon be shared with the public.
