Antigua Seizes Cash in Airport Operation

Antigua’s Immigration Department, Customs Enforcement Department and Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy conducted a joint operation resulting in the seizure of $60,000 in cash at VC Bird International Airport.

A Dominican national, a 42-year-old woman, was arrested for concealing cash on entering the country at VC Bird Airport.

The flight arrived from St Maarten with the woman concealing the cash on her body. She is expected to be charge with several money laundering offences and will be arraigned today.
