Cayman Islands Premier McKeeva Bush is in Jamaica with a six-person team on a study tour.

The Premier is looking at Jamaica’s procurement system, along with other entities such as the Office of the Contractor General and the National Contracts Commission.

The Caymanian team met with Financial Secretary Dr Wesley Hughes yesterday for discussions on his role in the ministry; Cayman transitioned constitutionally to having a financial secretary two years ago.

Bush is paying a courtesy call on Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Finance Minister Audley Shaw.
