In Cayman, Help for an Old Artist’s Home

Cayman’s government has committed to restoring the home of internationally renowned artist Gladwyn Bush, better known as Miss Lassie, who died in 2003. McKeeva Bush’s government has committed $500,000 over a four-year period to representatives of the Cayman National Cultural Foundation last week. Restoration efforts are already underway. The house, called Mind’s Eye, has been placed on the World Monument Fund’s Watch List 2012 as a threatened cultural heritage site. “Mine’s Eye was considered with sites from all around the world for this recognition,” Bush said.
