St Kitts will see 11 new cruise ships make their inaugural calls during the 2011/2012 season, according to Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas.

The country’s Tourism Ministry estimates that there will be 650,000 cruise visitors to St Kitts this year.

Ships making their way to the island this year include the Allure of the Seas, Carnival Valor, Celebrity Silhouette, the Navigator of the Seas and the Queen Elizabeth.

Allure of the Seas is one of the largest passenger ships ever constructed, along with sister ship Oasis of the Seas. (Allure is actually 50 millimeters longer than Oasis, making it technically the largest).
