New CARICOM SG Takes Office

New CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque will assume office duties on Monday, April 15th. “Ambassador LaRocque assumes office as the Community’s seventh Secretary-General, with the full confidence and support of the Conference of Heads of Government and the best wishes of the entire community,” St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Denzil Douglas said earlier this month in a statement. LaRocque was selected by the Conference on July 21.
