Probe into Alleged Raid on Jamaican Solicitor General’s Office

Emil George, chairman of the ongoing Manatt commission of enquiry in Jamaica, has asked police to examine the police visit to the office of Douglas Leys, Solicitor General. Despite reports that a raid on Leys’ office in an attempt to seize electronic equipment, Jamaican police are so far denying claims that one took place. According to a release from the police’s high command, a visit was made by the police to Leys’ office after they were told to check with Leys regarding a report from an attorney about a fraudulent email. The subject of the visit was an allegedly fraudulent email.
