Hilton Expands Curio Brand to Puerto Rico

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 26, 2017

Hilton has expanded its Curio — A Collection by Hilton brand to the island of Puerto Rico.

The brand, which “caters to passionate travelers seeking local discovery and authentic experiences,” has been added to the El San Juan Hotel in San Juan.

The 388-room hotel becomes the first Curio-property on the island and one of a growing Caribbean portfolio.

Its debut comes after a major renovation project.

“We are proud to continue our growth throughout the Caribbean by welcoming it as the first Curio Collection property in this spectacular destination,” said Mark Nogal, global head, Curio – A Collection by Hilton. “As a hotel that honors its proud past while offering the modern features that today’s curious traveler has come to expect, the fully remodeled and upgraded property will provide guests visiting San Juan truly authentic and remarkable experiences.”

The Isla Verde-area hotel first opened in 1958 as a favorite of celebrities like Sammy Davis, Jr.
