A major new hotel is coming to the French Caribbean island of St Barth: Le Barthelemy.

The island’s newest hotel will open Oct. 1 on a 600-foot stretch of sand on Grand Cul de Sac Beach.

The rooms will include amenities by Hermes, with a spa in partnership with La Mer skincare.

As for gastronomy, Michelin-starred French Chef Guy Martin has created two dining experiences in one setting: by day, Le Barth offers fare from homemade pizzas to stuffed baguettes; at night, the eatery becomes Aux Amis, offering French and international cuisine.

“Our location is our inspiration and we have taken tremendous care to pay homage to our spectacular setting and to a style of personalized service that is truly individualized,” said Marc Dobbels, general manager at Le Barthélemy. “We are embracing elegance in a refreshed way, reimagining service standards for a modern traveler where respect for time, restoration and connection is paramount.  It’s about simplicity, a genuineness that is informed by the natural, laid-back beauty of our surroundings.”
