This Adults-Only All-Inclusive Has Toes-in-the-Sand Rooms, “Laid-Back Luxury” and One of the Caribbean’s Most Spectacular Beaches

The endless lattes. The afternoons at the Tickled Turtle. The barbecue at the Outhouse. The six pickleball courts. There’s a reason the Pineapple Beach Club is one of Antigua’s most beloved places to stay. But the biggest story is Long Bay.

The 180-room adults-only all-inclusive is a classic Caribbean getaway, from the breezy vibes to the wonderfully warm service. But when you Long Bay, its stunning white sand, its nylon-turquoise water, you really start to get it.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere in the Caribbean — the kind of beach you dream about on cold, dark afternoons, the one you imagine the hero escaping to at the end of the movie. It’s really that good – and while many resorts boast about their beaches, this one is at the next level, which is really saying something, considering there are 365 beaches in Antigua and Barbuda.

And it’s right there for you, whether you want a low-key sandy morning or an active day spent on a glass-bottom kayak or a stand-up paddle board.

It’s your own personal Caribbean playground, with floating hammocks in the water, endless catamarans and the snorkeling gear for exploring the undersea world. (If you prefer the pool, you’ll find three different ones across the resort).

The rooms are your choice: ocean-view balconies where you can stare out at Long Bay all day, or full-fledged toes-in-the-sand rooms, where you can literally step right out on to the beach or sit on your deck at the edge of the shore. You can also choose garden rooms or even the pool terrace rooms, poolside accommodations set around the property’s newest pool (replete with a waterfall).

The dining options are endless: romantic meals at Orchids, red-and-white tablecloth Italian dinners right on the beach at Chef Pietro’s; pastries at Cafe 1761.

That’s without mentioning the pickleball. This just might be the number one pickleball destination for the sport in the hemisphere, with a whopping six state-of-the-art courts, all with a view of the sea and Antigua’s green hills and an actual commitment the sport, which has been a priority for Elite Island Resorts since long before the sport’s recent uptick in popularity.

Pineapple has always been one of our regular stays in Antigua, with its unique blend of authentic Caribbean hospitality and all-inclusive comfort. They call it “laid back luxury,” and that’s exactly what you get — the luxury of la dolce vite, Antigua style.

Are you heading to the island of Antigua? The increasingly popular spot is getting easier to visit, from Frontier’s new service from San Juan to growing airlift from Miami (on American) and New York on Delta, which you can actually find for fares as low as $306 roundtrip, according to Google Flights.
