Sandals Is Making a Big Jamaica Comeback — Here Are All 7 All-Inclusive Resorts to Know for This Winter
Sandals’ Jamaica story is getting a major new chapter this winter.
It starts Nov. 18, when Sandals South Coast reopens after a major reimagining. A month later, Sandals Montego Bayreturns on Dec. 18, joined the same day by the debut of Sandals Caribbean Cay, the new name and new incarnation of the former Sandals Royal Caribbean.
By January, Sandals expects to have all 7 of its Jamaica resorts operating again, stretching from Negril and Whitehouse to Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
The company is putting a substantial offer behind the return, too. Its Great Jamaica Comeback promotion includes up to $1,500 in instant credit, up to $350 in air credit, and a complimentary Jamaica excursion with qualifying stays of 5 nights or longer. Current promotional rates range from $159 per person, per night at Sandals Ochi to $417 per person, per night at Sandals Montego Bay, depending on dates and room category.
The bigger story is choice.
You have the famous beach at Negril, a private offshore island in Montego Bay, overwater villas on the south coast, an all-butler hideaway in Ocho Rios, and one of Sandals’ newest resorts near Dunn’s River Falls. Three properties will enter the winter season after significant projects, while 4 others give you very different versions of a Sandals Jamaica vacation.

Sandals South Coast: The Comeback Starts Here
The first reopening comes on Nov. 18, when Sandals South Coast welcomes travelers back to Whitehouse.
This is one of Sandals’ most distinctive Jamaica resorts, bordered by a 500-acre protected nature reserve and home to some of the brand’s most sought-after accommodations.
You can stay in an Overwater Butler Villa, choose one of the circular Rondoval villas with a private pool, or reserve a swim-up suite where the pool runs directly past your terrace.
The reimagined resort will have 10 restaurants, 7 bars, 4 pools and 4 whirlpools, along with pickleball, tennis, scuba diving, snorkeling, paddleboarding, kayaking, waterskiing and other included water sports.
Among the new additions are Butch’s Island Chophouse and BLUM Coffee Bar, joining longtime favorites including Jasmine’s, Schooner’s, Neptune’s, Sushi on the Sand, Giuseppe’s and the Jerk Shack.
There’s also a new pool and extensive landscaping across the resort.
If you reserve 5 nights or longer under the qualifying comeback offer, Sandals is including a catamaran trip to YS Falls, where a series of waterfalls and natural swimming pools cuts through the interior of western Jamaica.
Rates in the current promotion start at $272 per person, per night.
South Coast is the one to choose if your idea of Sandals includes a little more seclusion, an overwater villa or Rondoval, and a resort that gives you plenty to do over several days.
