American Airlines Is Returning to Haiti, With New Daily Flights to Cap-Haïtien

There are few cities in the Caribbean with a history like Cap-Haïtien.

Beginning Nov. 1, American Airlines will launch daily nonstop flights between Miami and Cap-Haïtien, becoming the first U.S. airline to announce the return of scheduled service to Haiti, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.

The new route is more than another Caribbean flight. It reconnects northern Haiti directly with the United States and marks an important moment for a destination that has faced years of limited international air service.

A New Daily Connection

The new service will operate every day aboard a Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Flights will depart Miami at 10:15 a.m., arriving in Cap-Haïtien at 12:15 p.m. The return flight leaves Cap-Haïtien at 1:15 p.m., arriving back in Miami at 3:15 p.m.

The schedule creates an easy nonstop option for travelers flying between South Florida and northern Haiti, while also providing convenient onward connections throughout American Airlines’ domestic and international network.

For travelers, it means northern Haiti is once again just a couple of hours from Miami.

A Major Milestone for American

The launch also represents a milestone for American Airlines.

With the addition of Cap-Haïtien, the carrier will serve 100 destinations across Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, an achievement that comes during the airline’s centennial year.

The route further strengthens Miami’s position as American’s primary Caribbean gateway, where the airline operates one of the region’s largest international networks.
