Antigua and Barbuda Is Looking for Artists to Help Shape Its Biggest Celebration of Caribbean Creativity

The canvas might be a restored colonial wall in St. John’s. The inspiration could come from the turquoise water off Half Moon Bay, the stone arches of Nelson’s Dockyard, or the vibrant colors of a village market. Across Antigua and Barbuda, creativity has always been part of the landscape.

Now, Antigua and Barbuda is preparing for the next edition of one of its signature cultural events. The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority has officially opened applications for the fourth Antigua and Barbuda Art Week, inviting artists, creatives, organizations and venues across the twin-island destination to help shape the celebration, which returns Nov. 11-18.

The call for participation marks the first step in building a week that has become one of the Caribbean’s most distinctive showcases for visual art, design, fashion and cultural expression.

Art Beyond the Beach

You probably already know Antigua and Barbuda for its white-sand beaches, warm water and world-famous sailing.

Art Week offers another reason to visit.
