July isn’t about escaping winter. It’s about experiencing the islands at their most relaxed, when you can spend hours in the sea, wander colorful towns without crowds and settle into the easy rhythm that makes this part of the world so irresistible.

Nassau & Paradise Island, The Bahamas
July is one of our favorite times to experience New Providence’s twin-hotspots of Nassau and Paradise Island, when the beaches are brilliant, the sea is wonderfully warm and the destination settles into an easy summer rhythm. Spend the morning on Cable Beach, linger over lunch at Arawak Cay’s Fish Fry, sip cocktails at Bon Vivants or The Dilly Club, then browse the galleries and boutiques downtown before another swim — and close it off with a set at Jon Batiste’s. It’s also one of the Caribbean’s most exciting food capitals, blending Bahamian flavors with an increasingly creative cocktail scene.
