One of the top all-inclusive brands in Mexico is coming to the English-speaking Caribbean, with UNICO’s first-ever resort in Jamaica.

UNICO Hotel Collection is officially expanding to the Caribbean island with the upcoming debut of UNICO Montego Bay, a new boutique luxury all-inclusive resort scheduled to open in early 2027.

It’s a major addition for the island, following the first announcement of the project back in 2024.

The project will bring the brand’s signature adults-oriented, luxury all-inclusive concept to Montego Bay, marking its first resort in Jamaica.

A New UNICO Resort For Montego Bay

The forthcoming resort will be located on Jamaica’s north coast, one of the Caribbean’s most popular luxury tourism corridors and home to many of the island’s best-known resorts.

While reservations have not yet opened, the hotel has begun teasing the project through official channels, confirming an early 2027 opening.

The company describes the property as combining boutique luxury with the convenience of an all-inclusive resort, an approach that has helped establish the UNICO brand as one of the more distinctive names in the upscale all-inclusive segment.

The resort is being developed under the UNICO Hotel Collection, part of AIC Hotel Group’s growing portfolio, which also includes luxury hospitality brands across Mexico and the Caribbean.

A Different Kind Of All-Inclusive

Rather than focusing on sheer size, the UNICO concept has built its reputation around a more intimate luxury experience.

The flagship UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya helped redefine expectations for all-inclusive resorts by emphasizing local culture, elevated dining, destination-inspired design and personalized service alongside the traditional convenience of an all-inclusive vacation.

The upcoming UNICO Montego Bay is expected to follow that same philosophy, bringing the brand’s contemporary aesthetic to one of Jamaica’s premier beach destinations.

While details are still slim, renderings show a collection of plunge-pool rooms, poolside cabanas and sleek beverage concepts.

The company says the new property will deliver the signature UNICO experience in a setting overlooking Montego Bay’s famous white-sand beaches and clear Caribbean water.

Few destinations in the Caribbean have enjoyed the sustained momentum of Montego Bay.

The city remains Jamaica’s primary international gateway, welcoming nonstop flights from dozens of cities across North America, while continuing to attract significant investment in both new resorts and existing hotel renovations.

Its location also places visitors within easy reach of attractions throughout western Jamaica, from Doctor’s Cave Beachand the Hip Strip to excursions along the island’s north coast.

The arrival of another luxury all-inclusive brand reflects continued confidence in Montego Bay’s position as one of the Caribbean’s leading resort destinations.

A Growing Luxury Hotel Pipeline

The announcement adds another notable project to Jamaica’s expanding luxury hotel pipeline.

Over the last several years, the island has welcomed major new resorts and extensive renovations, with brands continuing to invest in destinations including Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios and the island’s south coast.

For luxury travelers, the result has been a steadily expanding collection of high-end options, ranging from boutique beachfront retreats to some of the Caribbean’s largest all-inclusive resorts.
