Hotel Tracker: This Belize Rainforest Resort Has Rooms for $183 Right Now

This resort has rooms for 27 percent lower than usual.

Rain hits the trees fast in western Belize this time of year. The pools empty out for 20 minutes, the air cools off and the rainforest turns louder afterward. At resorts around San Ignacio, guests leave early for cave tours and Mayan sites, then come back for long dinners, cocktails and quiet nights surrounded by thick green hills.

Right now, one of Belize’s best-known jungle resorts has a notable rate drop.

Ka’Ana Resort, the luxury boutique hotel near San Ignacio, Belize, currently has rooms starting at $183 per night for stays from May 28-31, according to pricing reviewed by Caribbean Journal. That’s about 27 percent lower than the property’s typical rates.

The pricing is available on entry-level accommodations and remains subject to availability.

The Resort

Ka’Ana Resort has become one of the signature luxury stays in Belize’s inland tourism region, attracting travelers looking to combine rainforest experiences with a more elevated resort experience. The property is just outside San Ignacio, the main tourism hub in Belize’s Cayo District and the jumping-off point for many of the country’s best-known inland attractions.

The resort has just 17 accommodations, including suites and private villas spread across landscaped tropical grounds filled with palms, flowering plants and dense greenery. Several of the larger villas include private plunge pools and outdoor showers.

It’s set in the charming town of San Ignacio, one of our favorites.

Unlike many jungle lodges in the region, Ka’Ana leans heavily into full-service luxury, with polished interiors, oversized bathrooms, strong food programming and a quieter boutique-hotel atmosphere.

The resort’s restaurant, La Ceiba, has developed a strong reputation among travelers visiting western Belize, with menus focused on Belizean ingredients and produce sourced from the property’s own garden.

What You Can Do Nearby

Most guests staying here are pairing resort time with excursions across the Cayo region.

That includes visits to the ancient Maya city of Xunantunich, one of Belize’s most famous archaeological sites, along with cave tubing, river excursions and guided trips to the ATM Cave, the country’s best-known cave exploration experience.

The area has also become increasingly popular among travelers splitting their vacation between Belize’s jungle interior and the Caribbean coastline, particularly destinations like Ambergris Caye and Placencia.

Late May is traditionally one of the quieter periods for Belize tourism before summer demand begins increasing, often translating into softer hotel pricing and lighter crowds at major attractions.

Why the Deal Stands Out

The current Ka’Ana pricing is notable because luxury resorts in Belize’s inland region frequently remain above the $250 range, especially for boutique properties with villa inventory and full-service amenities.

For travelers looking at Belize this spring, the current window at Ka’Ana delivers one of the stronger value luxury rates currently available in the country.

The $183 rates are available for stays from May 28 through May 31.
