A new route is coming to The Bahamas this summer. Breeze Airways is set to launch a nonstop flight between Tampa and Nassau, creating a new link between Florida’s Gulf Coast and the Bahamian capital.

The service is scheduled to begin on June 11, adding a new, direct option for travelers heading to one of the Caribbean’s most in-demand destinations.

Flight Details and Fares

The new route will operate as a nonstop connection, cutting out the need for connections through other Florida gateways.

Introductory pricing is starting at $99 one way, making it one of the more affordable new routes to Nassau this year.

Breeze continues to expand its network with a focus on underserved routes and leisure destinations, and this flight fits squarely into that strategy.

Why This Route Matters

The addition of Tampa service strengthens Nassau’s airlift from Florida, particularly from the Gulf Coast, where nonstop Caribbean options have been more limited compared to the Atlantic side.

Travelers in the Tampa Bay region now have a direct path to The Bahamas, avoiding the need to connect through Miamior Fort Lauderdale.

It also adds new capacity heading into the summer travel season, when demand for short-haul Caribbean trips increases.

What It Means for Nassau

For Nassau, the new flight continues a broader expansion of U.S. connectivity, bringing in travelers from beyond the traditional gateway cities.

The route reinforces Nassau’s position as one of the most accessible Caribbean destinations, with strong infrastructure and a wide range of accommodations.

Where to Stay in Nassau

At The Cove Atlantis, you’re positioned on Paradise Island inside one of the Caribbean’s most expansive resort footprints. You get access to multiple pools, a large water park, a long stretch of beach, and a wide lineup of restaurants and lounges. The rooms are modern, with ocean-facing balconies and direct proximity to everything on property.

For a different experience, Graycliff Hotel places you in the heart of downtown Nassau inside a historic mansion. The hotel has a small number of rooms, a well-known restaurant, and an extensive wine cellar. You’re within walking distance of shops, galleries, and the harbor, with a more intimate, authentic feel.

The Takeaway

With a June 11 launch$99 introductory fares, and a new nonstop from TampaBreeze Airways is adding another easy, affordable way to get to Nassau just in time for summer travel
