Disney Cruise Line has revealed new details about its next ship, including its name and overarching theme — and it’s another major step in the company’s rapid cruise expansion.

The new vessel will be called the Disney Believe, the fourth ship in Disney’s Wish class, with a concept built around stories of optimism, ambition, and characters who push forward in pursuit of their goals.

A New Identity in the Wish-Class Fleet

The Disney Believe joins a growing lineup of ships that each carry a distinct narrative direction. Within the Wish class, Disney has leaned heavily into themed storytelling as a defining design element across every part of the ship.

The Disney Wish focuses on enchantment, the Disney Treasure centers on adventure, and the Disney Destiny explores heroes and villains. The Disney Believe adds a new thematic layer, grounded in ideas of possibility and personal conviction.

This approach has become a cornerstone of Disney Cruise Line’s newer ships, where the chosen theme informs entertainment, design, and onboard venues.

Disney Characters Driving the Concept

The Disney Believe will draw from a mix of modern and classic Disney stories, with a strong focus on characters tied to perseverance and self-belief.

Among the featured properties are Encanto, Frozen, Moana, and The Little Mermaid, along with elements inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

These franchises are expected to shape the ship’s entertainment, visual design, and themed environments, continuing Disney’s strategy of integrating its film library directly into the cruise experience.

Part of a Much Bigger Expansion

The new ship is arriving during a period of significant growth for Disney Cruise Line.

The company is in the midst of a fleet expansion that will bring its total number of ships to 13 by 2031. That pipeline includes the recently launched Disney Adventure, which began sailing from Singapore, along with additional vessels already in development.

Disney is also planning to introduce a new class of ships later in the decade, alongside a partnership with Oriental Land Co. to launch Disney cruise vacations in Japan.

The Disney Believe is expected to enter service in late 2027, positioning it as a key addition within the current generation of Wish-class ships as Disney continues to scale up its global cruise footprint.
