The new-look Harmony.

On the south coast of Saint Lucia, where the Caribbean meets a long stretch of sand near Hewanorra International AirportCoconut Bay Beach Resort has been a familiar name for travelers for more than two decades. The property’s mile-long beachfront, expansive all-inclusive program and two distinct resort wings have made it one of the island’s most recognizable places to stay.

Now the resort has completed what executives describe as the largest renovation in its 20-year history.

The project centers on Harmony, the resort’s adults-only wing, which has undergone a complete rebuild designed to reposition the space as a contemporary couples retreat. The renovation touches every guest room in the wing along with several key shared spaces, creating a refreshed environment built around romance and relaxation.

For returning guests who have stayed in Harmony before, the transformation is immediate. For couples planning a Saint Lucia all-inclusive vacation, it introduces a newly rebuilt adults-only section at one of the island’s most established resorts.

A familiar resort with two distinct experiences

One of the defining features of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa has always been its dual personality.

On one side of the resort sits Splash, the family-focused wing known for its waterpark, kids’ club and active atmosphere.

On the other side is Harmony, a quieter adults-only environment designed specifically for couples.

That separation allows the resort to appeal to two very different types of travelers while keeping each experience distinct.

The newly rebuilt Harmony wing strengthens the resort’s couples-focused side, creating a refreshed space centered on ocean views, upgraded accommodations and a relaxed social atmosphere around the adults-only pools.

It also complements another adults-only option on the property: Serenity at Coconut Bay, the resort’s ultra-luxury all-inclusive enclave with private plunge-pool suites.

Together, Harmony and Serenity give the property two different approaches to a couples getaway — one lively and social, the other more secluded and intimate.

Inside the newly rebuilt Harmony rooms

The most visible change is inside the 125 rooms that make up the Harmony wing, all of which have been fully rebuilt as part of the renovation.

The redesign introduces spa-style bathrooms with walk-in showers, along with updated lighting, new soft furnishings and handcrafted mahogany furniture created by Saint Lucian artisans.

Floor-to-ceiling glass doors now open onto private balconies or patios, creating bright interiors with views of the Caribbean Sea or the resort’s tropical gardens.

The goal was to create rooms that feel lighter and more contemporary while maintaining a strong sense of place.

The result is a room design that blends Caribbean craftsmanship with a modern resort aesthetic — polished wood, neutral tones and wide openings that let in the island’s natural light.

For couples staying several nights, the balcony or terrace often becomes part of the daily routine: morning coffee outside, sunset views over the gardens or ocean and quiet evenings after dinner.

Concierge suites designed for couples

For travelers looking for a more elevated experience, the resort’s Harmony Concierge Junior Suites Club Level Oceanview rooms add additional perks.

Guests booking these suites receive dedicated concierge services along with a series of romantic extras designed specifically for couples.

One of the highlights is the Exclusive Harmony Romance Package, which includes a 30-minute couples massage, a catamaran sunset cruise sailing from the nearby fishing village of Laborie, and a romantic turndown experiencecomplete with sparkling wine.

The sunset cruise follows Saint Lucia’s dramatic west coast, where volcanic peaks rise above the sea and the light softens over the Caribbean in the early evening.

Back at the resort, concierge guests can also arrange private dining experiences, including the resort’s “Perfect Night” dinners designed as intimate gourmet meals for two.

A refreshed Harmony Pool

Beyond the guest rooms, the renovation also focuses on the social center of the adults-only wing: the Harmony Pool.

The pool area has been redesigned with new deck tiling, an updated pool bar and a cascading water feature that adds movement and sound to the space.

It’s one of two adults-only pools at the resort and remains the heart of daytime activity in the Harmony section.

Loungers line the water, music drifts from the bar and occasional adults-only pool parties bring an upbeat energy to the afternoons.

The atmosphere strikes a balance between relaxed and social. Couples spend the morning at the beach, drift toward the pool in the afternoon and gather around the bar as the day winds down.

Dining experiences built for romance

Dining plays a central role in the Harmony experience.

Guests can reserve oceanfront dinners at La Luna, one of the resort’s signature restaurants, where tables are set facing the water and meals unfold against the backdrop of the Caribbean.

For couples celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary, the resort also offers private dining experiences arranged by the concierge, creating a more intimate setting for special occasions.

Across the broader Coconut Bay property, guests have access to nine restaurants and dining venues, including indoor dining rooms, outdoor terraces and oceanside locations.

Menus focus on farm- and ocean-to-table ingredients, drawing from local fishermen, nearby farms and produce grown in the resort’s own greenhouses.

That range allows couples staying in Harmony to explore different dining settings each evening without leaving the resort.

Wellness and relaxation by the sea

Wellness is another key element of the adults-only experience.

At the Sanctuary Spa, couples can book treatments in open-air oceanfront cabanas, where massages take place with the sound of the Caribbean just beyond the treatment area.

The spa menu includes traditional massage therapies, facials and body treatments designed around relaxation and recovery.

For guests who prefer to spend the day by the water, the resort’s reserved beach cabanas offer a quieter setting along the property’s mile-long beach.

Here the pace slows. You settle into a shaded cabana, watch the waves roll in and let the afternoon pass without much schedule.

Another option for couples: Serenity at Coconut Bay

While Harmony provides a lively adults-only environment inside the larger resort, Serenity at Coconut Bay offers something entirely different.

Serenity operates as a separate luxury adults-only enclave, featuring spacious suites with private plunge pools, personal butler service and highly personalized all-inclusive amenities.

The experience there is quieter and more secluded.

Each suite opens onto its own private courtyard with a plunge pool, outdoor shower and lounge space designed for complete privacy.

Dining is handled through a gourmet restaurant and personalized service rather than the larger buffet-style offerings of the main resort.

For travelers choosing Coconut Bay, the decision often comes down to the type of couples getaway they want.

Harmony offers a social adults-only environment with multiple pools, restaurants and entertainment.

Serenity delivers a luxury boutique experience built around privacy and personalized service.

Both share the same beachfront and Caribbean setting, but the atmosphere differs significantly.

Why Saint Lucia remains one of the Caribbean’s most romantic destinations

The renovation of the Harmony wing arrives at a time when Saint Lucia continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the Caribbean’s most romantic islands.

The destination is known for its dramatic landscapes — volcanic peaks, lush rainforests and coastal villages that feel far removed from the region’s larger tourism centers.

Couples come for honeymoons, anniversaries and romantic getaways, drawn by the island’s natural scenery and the intimate character of many of its resorts.

Coconut Bay occupies a unique place within that landscape.

Located on the island’s south coast near the international airport, the resort combines easy access with one of the island’s longest beaches.

You land, step outside the airport and within minutes you’re arriving at the resort.

From there the Caribbean stretches out in front of you.

A refreshed chapter for Coconut Bay

With the completion of the Harmony renovation, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa enters a new chapter.

The project modernizes the resort’s adults-only wing while preserving the elements that made Harmony popular with returning guests — ocean views, relaxed social spaces and a focus on couples travel.

For travelers planning a Saint Lucia all-inclusive vacation, it means a refreshed adults-only environment inside a resort that already has one of the island’s most established reputations.

And for couples arriving at Coconut Bay for the first time, the message is clear.

Romance remains at the center of the experience — now in a setting that feels newly rebuilt for the next generation of Caribbean escapes.

Prices at Harmony

I found Harmony Concierge junior suites on the club level with a king bed for about $743 per night, all-inclusive, according to the property’s website.
