It's now at one of the Riviera Maya's top boutique resorts.

One of Mexico’s most celebrated fine-dining eateries has a new home in the Riviera Maya.

Le Chique, the Michelin-starred outpost led by Chef Jonatán Gómez Luna, has officially relocated to Hotel Xcaret Arte, the adults-only, art-focused resort from the Xcaret Group along Mexico’s Caribbean coast.

The move brings one of the country’s most recognized culinary experiences directly into the resort, strengthening Hotel Xcaret Arte’s growing reputation as a destination for high-end dining in the Caribbean region.

A Chef Known for Modern Mexican Cuisine

Chef Jonatán Gómez Luna remains at the helm of Le Chique in its new setting at Hotel Xcaret Arte.

Gómez Luna is widely considered one of the leading voices in contemporary Mexican cuisine, known for reinterpreting traditional ingredients and regional flavors through modern culinary techniques.

He is also a member of the Xcaret Gastronomic Collective, the group of chefs shaping the culinary direction of Xcaret’s resort portfolio.

His culinary background includes training at several of the world’s most influential kitchens, including El BulliArzakNoma, and El Celler de Can Roca, along with studies at the Culinary Institute of America.

The chef has also earned significant recognition for mentoring younger culinary talent in Mexico’s restaurant industry.

An Award-Winning Restaurant

Le Chique has received widespread recognition in the global culinary world.

The restaurant earned a Michelin Star in both 2024 and 2025 in the Michelin Guide Mexico.

A 27-Course Culinary Journey

At Hotel Xcaret Arte, Le Chique continues its signature 27-course tasting menu, a multi-hour dining experience that takes guests through different regions of Mexico’s culinary landscape.

Each dish highlights ingredients and traditions drawn from across the country, presented through modern techniques and detailed plating.

The experience combines technical precision with playful storytelling, often surprising diners with unexpected textures, presentations and reinterpretations of traditional flavors.

The menu concludes with a sequence of desserts that reinterpret classic Mexican sweets.

An Intimate Dining Experience

Le Chique maintains a small and intimate dining room designed to keep the focus on the culinary experience itself.

The restaurant also offers Chef’s Table experiences, along with private dining options for small groups.

Guests can also explore a curated wine program that includes both Mexican and international labels, complementing the tasting menu.

With its move to Hotel Xcaret Arte, Le Chique becomes part of the resort’s expanding culinary portfolio, bringing together leading chefs and innovative dining concepts that celebrate Mexico’s rich gastronomic traditions along the Caribbean coast.

Prices at Hotel Xcaret Arte

You can book rooms at the Hotel Xcaret Arte for about $1,145 per night right now, according to what we found on Google Hotels.
