If you’re booking Jamaica and wondering what the forecast will look like, JetBlue Vacations has a new answer: if it rains more than promised, you get $500 back.

JetBlue Vacations, in partnership with the Jamaica Tourist Board and WeatherPromise, has launched what it’s calling a first-of-its-kind “Great Weather Guarantee” for Jamaica vacation packages. When you book an eligible Flight + Hotel package, the guarantee is automatically included — at no extra cost.

If rainfall during your trip exceeds a pre-set threshold, you receive $500.

How You Qualify

You need to book a Jamaica Flight + Hotel package through JetBlue Vacations between March 1 and May 31, 2026. Travel must be completed by December 1, 2026, and your stay must be between 3 and 16 nights. Your trip also has to begin at least seven days after you book.

Once you lock in your package, the Great Weather Guarantee is built into your reservation. You don’t add it on. You don’t pay extra for it.

After booking, you receive access to a personalized dashboard outlining your coverage details. The system continuously monitors weather conditions during your stay using data analytics, satellite imagery and radar technology. Each trip has its own rainfall threshold based on your travel dates and destination in Jamaica.

If rainfall exceeds that threshold, you’re notified. From there, you can select how you would like to receive your $500 payout.

JetBlue Vacations first partnered with WeatherPromise in 2025 to introduce rain protection on Flight + Hotel packages. With this Jamaica-specific rollout, the company says it is the first airline vacation brand to integrate a destination-based weather guarantee directly into a vacation package.

What It Means for Your Jamaica Trip

If you’re heading to Jamaica for white-sand beaches, jerk chicken by the water and late nights of reggae in Montego Bay, you already know that brief tropical showers can be part of the Caribbean experience.

This new program is designed to give you added confidence when you book.

“JetBlue Vacations has always focused on removing friction from the travel experience,” said Jamie Perry, President at Paisly, the company that powers JetBlue Vacations. “We were proud to be WeatherPromise’s first airline vacation partner last year, and with this Jamaica-specific guarantee, we’re continuing to lead the industry. Customers can book knowing that if the weather doesn’t meet expectations, they’re covered.”

The Jamaica Tourist Board says the collaboration is meant to help you plan with greater certainty.

“Jamaica is a destination of rich culture and warm hospitality,” said Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism, Jamaica. “The Great Weather Guarantee allows travelers to fully embrace everything our island has to offer with added confidence. We are proud to collaborate with JetBlue Vacations and WeatherPromise to help visitors create unforgettable memories across Jamaica’s unique landscapes and vibrant communities.”

Daniel Price, Co-Founder of WeatherPromise, said the program is about giving you reassurance as you plan your getaway.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with JetBlue Vacations through this exciting new program,” Price said. “WeatherPromise is designed to give customers greater confidence to travel and experience new places. This collaboration allows us to bring that sense of reassurance to even more people as they visit one of the Caribbean’s truly iconic destinations.”

Extra Perks in Montego Bay

If you choose Montego Bay, you can also tap into JetBlue Vacations’ Insider Experience program. That includes airport transfers valued at up to $50, an arrival meet-and-greet and 24/7 support from a local Insider during your stay.

The Great Weather Guarantee currently applies specifically to Jamaica packages and marks the first time JetBlue Vacations has launched a destination-based version of its rain protection.

If you’re planning a Jamaica trip in 2026, the concept is straightforward: book an eligible package, enjoy your stay — and if rainfall exceeds the promised threshold, $500 comes back to you.
