Liat Air Is Adding New Flights from Guadeloupe to Two Caribbean Islands
Regional carrier Liat Air is adding two new nonstop routes from Guadeloupe Maryse Condé International Airport in Pointe-à-Pitre to Antigua and Montego Bay, Jamaica, strengthening air connectivity across the Caribbean.
The new services expand travel options within the region while also improving access to long-haul markets including the United States — particularly New York — and the United Kingdom, thanks to onward connections through Antigua.
Antigua Service Begins May 1
Beginning May 1, Liat Air will operate two weekly nonstop flights to Antigua, departing on Fridays and Sundays, using a 48-seat ATR 42 aircraft.
Starting in July, the airline plans to operate two weekly rotations with a 50-seat Embraer 145, with the service scheduled to run year-round.
The route enhances links between the French Caribbean and Antigua’s V.C. Bird International Airport, a key regional hub offering onward service to major transatlantic markets.
Antigua remains one of the Caribbean’s most popular short-break destinations, known for its white-sand beaches, views from Shirley Heights, lively markets and strong local craft traditions.
Montego Bay Service Launching in July
Liat Air will also introduce nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica, beginning in the first week of July.
The airline will operate two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using the 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145. The Montego Bay route will also operate year-round.
The launch coincides with Jamaica’s annual Reggae Sumfest, one of the region’s largest music festivals, held each summer in Montego Bay.
The new route links Guadeloupe directly with one of Jamaica’s primary tourism gateways, providing access to Montego Bay’s beach resorts, nightlife, cultural attractions and the island’s broader tourism offerings, from Kingston to the Blue Mountains.
With the addition of Antigua and Montego Bay, Liat Air continues to rebuild and expand regional air links, reinforcing intra-Caribbean travel and creating new connection opportunities for both leisure and business travelers.
