Hotel Tracker: You Can Stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico From $236

The Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve in Puerto Rico.

Beach, golf, rum. Sounds like a pretty good formula, and the Hotel Tracker team found a rather compelling rate in Puerto Rico next month.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico is offering nightly rates starting at about $236 for stays during the week of Feb. 1, according to what we discovered on Google Hotels.

That makes it one of the more notable Caribbean resort values right now. For a property of this size and scope, early-February pricing at this level is uncommon, particularly during the heart of the winter travel season.

Rates at this resort typically climb higher during peak winter weeks, driven by strong demand and the breadth of on-site amenities. That makes this pricing window especially appealing for travelers looking to lock in a full-service Caribbean stay without peak-season costs.

The Resort

Located in Río Grande on Puerto Rico’s northeastern coast, the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the foothills of El Yunque National Forest. The resort spans hundreds of acres, with low-rise buildings set among tropical landscaping, open green space, and long walking paths that create a relaxed, open feel.

Rooms at the $239 price point are generally standard categories with garden or partial views, and they include private balconies and generous square footage. The layout of the resort gives even entry-level rooms a sense of privacy and calm that’s harder to find at more compact beachfront hotels.

Dining and Amenities

The resort offers multiple on-site dining options that range from casual poolside fare to sit-down restaurants highlighting local flavors and fresh seafood. Outdoor terraces and open-air bars play a central role in the experience, particularly in the evenings when ocean breezes and live music shape the atmosphere.

A large, free-form pool complex anchors the property, with shaded loungers and easy access to the beach. The stretch of sand here is wide and relaxed, well suited for swimming, long walks, and low-key beach days. Golfers have access to the on-site Robert Trent Jones Jr.–designed course, one of Puerto Rico’s established resort golf layouts.

The Location

One of the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve’s advantages is its positioning. El Yunque National Forest lies just inland, making it easy to combine beach time with rainforest hikes and waterfall visits. San Juan is close enough for a half-day or evening trip, offering access to Old San Juan’s historic streets, galleries, and dining scene.

Nearby towns such as Luquillo and Fajardo add a more local layer to the experience, with casual restaurants, food kiosks, and additional beaches that feel rooted in everyday island life.

Why It Matters

A $239 nightly rate in early February places this resort within reach for travelers who might otherwise bypass a full-service Caribbean property in favor of smaller hotels or rentals. Puerto Rico’s accessibility for U.S. travelers, combined with competitive air service into San Juan, strengthens the overall value of the deal.

Availability at this price for the week of February 1 is limited, and the best values tend to appear on midweek nights. For travelers watching winter resort pricing in the Caribbean, this is a window worth acting on while it lasts.
