Antigua and Barbuda is assuring U.S. travelers, travel advisors and airline partners that recent media reports regarding U.S. visa issuance for Antiguan and Barbudan citizens have no impact on travel to or from the destination.

Tourism officials confirmed that there have been no changes to entry or exit requirements for U.S. citizens or other international visitors. All airports and seaports in Antigua and Barbuda remain fully operational, and travel continues without disruption.

“Antigua and Barbuda is open for business, and we are delighted to welcome visitors as always with our signature hospitality,” said H. Charles Fernandez, the country’s Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment, in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal. “Our tourism sector continues to operate normally, and travelers can plan their visits with complete confidence.”

The destination emphasized that it remains safe and welcoming as the winter travel season gets underway, with expectations for another strong tourism period.

Officials encouraged travelers and travel partners to continue planning trips with confidence, noting that the situation referenced in recent reports does not affect inbound tourism in any way.
