Bahamas Golf Classic Kicks Off Korn Ferry Tour Season on Paradise Island

The Korn Ferry Tour will open its 2026 season in The Bahamas, with the Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis set to tee off at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island.
The season-opening tournament will bring the next wave of professional golf talent to Paradise Island, with players competing for a $1,000,000 purse and 20 coveted spots on the PGA TOUR for the 2027 season. As the primary pathway to the PGA TOUR, the Korn Ferry Tour’s opening event places The Bahamas at the center of the professional golf calendar to begin the year.
Stretching more than 7,100 yards along the island’s eastern shoreline, the Ocean Club Golf Course provides a dramatic oceanfront setting that blends championship-level design with expansive sea views. The layout is expected to test players early in the season while offering spectators clear sightlines and premium viewing areas throughout the course.
The event will be staged in partnership with Atlantis Paradise Island, which will serve as the tournament hub. Guests staying at Atlantis will have access to elevated grounds and hospitality ticket options, with shuttle service provided from each hotel on the resort campus to the course, streamlining access for spectators throughout tournament week.
For The Bahamas, hosting the season opener underscores the destination’s growing role in international sports tourism, particularly in golf. The tournament adds another high-profile event to Paradise Island’s calendar, pairing world-class competition with resort amenities and a setting that continues to attract major sporting events.
With the Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis launching the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season, Paradise Island will once again serve as a proving ground for emerging stars seeking to secure their place on golf’s biggest stage.
