New Nonstop Flights Between Argentina and Aruba
It’s no secret that Aruba has been courting the South American travel market for years – and quite successfully, too.
Now, there’s another gateway to the Dutch Caribbean island from the continent.
Aerolíneas Argentinas launched direct service between Argentina and Aruba on January 1, with the inaugural flight from Buenos Aires’ Ezeiza International Airport departing with all 170 seats occupied.
The strong demand prompted the airline to extend what was originally planned as a two-month seasonal route through the end of September 2026.
The carrier is operating the service five times weekly using a Boeing 737 MAX 8, offering more than 7,000 seats across 43 flights during the season. The airline is taking an unusual approach by serving three Argentine gateways simultaneously: Buenos Aires (both EZE and AEP airports), Córdoba, and Mendoza.
The flight schedule caters to Argentina’s summer vacation period, with overnight departures from Ezeiza at 23:55, arriving in Aruba at 07:00. Return flights leave at 08:30, arriving in Buenos Aires at 18:45 after a brief stop in Córdoba.
Between January and September 2025, Argentina ranked as Aruba’s second-largest Latin American market, accounting for 13.8% of regional traffic. Buenos Aires led with a 6.5% market share, followed by Aeroparque at 3.8% and Córdoba at 1.7%.
The route diversifies Aruba’s air connectivity beyond its traditional North American base, continuing a trend of several years of effort.
Aruba’s airport continues to operate normally, following last weekend’s Venezuela-related flight disruptions.
